Welcome to WHISK & SPATULA, the ultimate destination for home chefs and food enthusiasts to learn a thing or two about cooking, cooking tools and food in general. Inviting and unintimidating, WHISK & SPATULA also takes you on culinary journeys discovering distant shores and new horizons that will amaze even the most avid culinary adventurer.
Yosmar Monique Martinez created WHISK&SPATULA with the core belief that everyone has the ability to unleash their potential in the kitchen and create incredible food experiences. Yosmar has a culinary passion that goes beyond creating; she looks to discover the ingredients and cuisines of different cultures. This culinary curiosity has led her to over 45 countries spread throughout six continents. Inspired by professional chefs and home cooks alike, upon her return home, she is always eager to replicate dishes she has tried throughout her travels and share her knowledge and discoveries with others.
After teaching more than a decade, Yosmar has published her first cookbook, Tastes of the Camino. This book features recipes of the foods she encountered along St. James Way, an ancient pilgrimage route in Northern Spain. Through Tastes of the Camino, Yosmar hopes to share her culinary knowledge with an even wider set of people.
It also won the Gourmand World Cookbook Award for Best Self Published book in the United States and came in second place internationally.
In the words of Edouard Cointreau, president of the jury:
"The Camino is universal and timeless. This excellent book has strong international appeal, and will be welcome everywhere, with translation hopefully, in Spanish and French at least. The book is very professional, by a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu who walked El Camino four times."
WHISK&SPATULA offers you the opportunity to take hands-on cooking classes with Yosmar Monique Martinez and learn how to prepare a variety of culinary delights.
